Mother Earth Brewing Company was born of the passion of three business-minded brewers seeking to share the 'Love' of craft.
Founded in North San Diego County in 2010 by Daniel & Jon Love, and Kamron Khannakhjavani, what began as a hobby years earlier had formed into a business. Passionate about the burgeoning craft beer industry, the trio set out to create a unique brand and established themselves in the fastest growing, and most highly competitive craft beer city in the world. Originally operating out of a 2200 sq. ft. industrial space, the business grew quickly thanks to thirsty patrons visiting the industrial, but homely, onsite tasting room and adjacent homebrew store. With high-demand of its initial offerings, Mother Earth soon brought in additional family partners and began expanding by launching self-distribution of 22oz. bottles and kegs to stores, bars, and restaurants. Brewhouse upgrades soon followed and in 2012, Mother Earth opened a large Tap House in the historic downtown Vista district. The relocation of the tap room allowed the company to expand its production spaces even further and over time additional square footage was added to nearly 28000 sq. ft. in total.
With ever-increasing demand, Mother Earth entered into major distribution in late 2013 which coincided with the installation of a Premier Systems 20 bbl Brew House while still retaining self-distribution of grocery, chain and broad market accounts within San Diego County through its own fleet of trucks and representatives.
After double-digit growth in 2014, the Vista brewery was bursting at the seams and the search for a larger facility began. Having initially looked within the local area, President and CEO, Daniel Love, led the company to consider locations outside the state while still allowing full distribution throughout the country and in 2015 the company began development of a new, state-of-the-art 40,000 sq. ft. production facility in Nampa, Idaho located near the state capital of Boise.
Featuring a 40 bbl multi-vessel Mueller brewhouse, and the capacity to produce over 100K bbls/yr, “Mother Earth – Nampa” went on-line in August of 2016 and through continuous upgrades and expansion rapidly became the largest brewery in the state of Idaho. As Mother Earth's second regional headquarters, Nampa supports most of the company's growth and produces beer for all markets outside Southern California. The original Vista brewery continues to provide draft and specialty offerings to its home market of Socal as well as creating unique one-off brews for visitors at its retail operations in North County San Diego.
Today, the Mother Earth family brews, distributes and supports consumer markets across the United States as well as internationally with its award-winning portfolio of year-round and specialty beers in bottles, cans, and kegs. Mother Earth remains family owned and operated and has become a standard of success within the industry.
