Yuengling Donates $50,000 For Hurricane Relief

The iconic brewer Yuengling has announced a donation of $50,000 to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Relief. For all the details, see below:

Pottsville, PA – Richard “Dick” Yuengling, owner of D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., announced today that the Yuengling Brewery will donate $50,000 to the American Red Cross for hurricane relief.

“Our hearts go out to those who have been impacted by Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey’s destruction,” said Richard “Dick” Yuengling.

In an effort to support victims who lost their loved ones, homes, and are without basic amenities because of the recent hurricanes, the brewery invites consumers, employees and partners to join in and support by donating to the Red Cross through their website, www.yuengling.com.

“This donation will help with relief efforts and continue to help in recovery efforts. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone, including our employees, who have also been affected,” said Wendy Yuengling, chief administrative officer. “Please join us in supporting those communities that have been impacted.”

Very nice thought. However, they should have donated to an organization that might actually help the people in need. I lived through hurricane Sandy and experienced just how useless the Red Cross is. They will never get another dime from me
