Sebago Brewing Co. Puts Entire Brewery Up For Sale

Maine's Sebago Brewing Co. is selling its entire current brewing facility – all 8000 sq. feet. For more details, see the announcement below:

Sebago Brewing Company is on the move. We’re building a new destination brewery on Main Street in Gorham on the Shaw Brothers Family Foundation farm. We are planning to be brewing there in January 2018.

Since 2005 we have been brewing and packaging our beer in the Gorham industrial park in a built-to-suit 8000 sq. ft. building. We have experienced amazing growth over the past 12 years here and expanded to a 5000 sq. ft. warehouse next door in 2013 for can storage, packaging and warehousing.

Sebago embraces Maine beer and we are committed to the success of our industry. We could sell our brewery to the highest bidder at the drop of a hat and have it shipped out to some location across the nation. Instead, we would like to present the opportunity to a local brewer. Our thought is to sell our brewery installed and in place to a Maine brewer who is growing and needs the capacity or a new start-up looking to find a home. We know what it takes to start up a brewery and the costs and planning it takes to install all the equipment. This would provide a huge advantage for someone.

Our hope is to create a hub in Gorham for craft beer where we can highlight and bring more beer tourism to the area. The water is amazing, utility costs and taxes are reasonable and the most important part is the brewery is all set up and ready to brew. We plan on moving our 80 BBL FV’s and Bright beer tanks as well as a few 40 BBL tanks. We are also planning on taking our packaging line and keg-cleaning machine.
