Description

Named after California’s Highway 78, this India Pale Ale was brewed in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the city of Vista. With plenty of Galaxy, Nelson, and Citra hops, our latest IPA is truly well-balanced and flavorful. Aroma’s include grapefruit, passionfruit, and citrus.

A classic style that almost every brewery makes. The aroma was very hoppy, with floral and citrusy notes indicating the presence of Cascade hops. The beer had a nice light straw color that was a bit hazy. Head retention and carbonation was low. An almost equal balance of malt and hops provided some very nice pine and citrus flavors. Most American IPAs are aggressively hopped, sometimes to an extreme level. This beer, however, meets the criteria of an American IPA without overpowering one’s senses. It was smooth, crisp and had a nice, palate-cleansing finish.

Brewery Introduction

Belching Beaver Brewery came from a desire to make great beer and have a Dam good time doing it. When we started the company we wanted to do two things: First, have a brand that offered quality craft beer but was whimsical and fun to inspire good times.
