The Czech Lager Style Family as defined by the 2015 BJCP Style Guidelines is divided by both color and alcohol strength and includes Czech Pale, Czech Amber, Czech Dark, Czech Premium Pale and Czech Pilsner. While most German and American lagers are heavily filtered, Czech lagers often feature unfermented extract, which provides this style family with fuller body and mouthfeel as well as a richer and more complex flavor profile.
