Canadian Microbrewer Le Corsaire Brings Home International Booty

Le Corsaire, a Canadian microbrewer, brought home four medals from the international World Beer Awards competition. For more, see below:


MONTREAL – Wednesday, August 16th, 2017.  A real storm of medals has struck on the Levis microbrewery Le Corsaire in the recent months ! The World Beer Awards’ final jury, which has met in London on Thursday, August 10th, has just raised the veil : over 4 Corsaire beers sent to the prestigious contest, 4 medals have been harvested.
 
The World Beer Awards rewards each year the best beers in the world. This annual competition selects, rewards and promotes the « World's Best Beers » to consumers and professionals worldwide. The Corsaire's game chart widens, and it is a real pride for the Quebec microbrewery industry to be so well represented in this international competition.

KIRKE, already a Canada Winner at the 2016 World Beer Awards, won this year the prestigious World Best in Style 2017, the equivalent of an Olympic gold medal. The BRISTOL, silver medalist at the 2016 World Beer Awards, and the BROWN ALE both won the Country Winner Canada Award this year. Last but not least, the ANNE BONNY, already gold medalist at the 2017 Canadian Brewing Awards , received the silver medal in Canada. The Kirke, the Bristol and the Brown Ale are all British-inspired beers.

And it’s not over !

The Corsaire's beers, after having conquered our beautiful province, are now exported to the rest of Canada, to the conquest of the beer lovers. Le Corsaire will continue to be discussed!

It is important to note the major passionate work accomplished each day by the Levisian brewers Gabriel Vigneault, Daniel Lowing and William Audet who second-hand Martin Vaillancourt, Brewmaster, in charge of the pirate ship since 2008. Without their expert know-how and their enthusiasm to brew the tanks full of Corsaire's beers, all of this would not have been possible!
