Baxter Brewing Co. To Debut Green Tea IPA

Maine's Baxter Brewing Co. has announced the release of its session Green Tea IPA, Ceremony, set for the end of July, which will be canned and on-tap in the brewery's newly renovated Portland taproom. For more, see below:

It’s officially beer season, and the season is good!  Ceremony is a lighter (session, if you want to get specific, at just 4.2% ABV) IPA that is brewed and flavored with gunpowder green tea leaves and matcha green tea powder.

We first brewed a wicked limited batch of Ceremony in the winter/spring of 2015 in celebration of Baxter’s 4th anniversary. And it proved so wildly popular and well-received that we had no choice but to bring it back into rotation!  Our then Director of Brewing Ops., Ben Low, did a fun interview with All About Beer Magazine about the beer when it first debuted as well, which you can check out here, if you’re interested in the technique of brewing with tea, check it out.  Ceremony will pair best with Fruit salad, teriyaki and tempura dishes, Vietnamese dishes, Pork chile verde, and Green tea ice cream.

Look for it at the end of July!
