Holy City Brewing Hosts Oyster Roast with Bowens Island

Holy City Brewing Hosts Oyster Roast with Bowens Island

Holy City Brewing in Charleston, South Carolina has announced an oyster roast with Bowens Island. Full details on the event are below.

Holy City Brewing has a new location in Park Circle at 1021 Aragon Avenue, which features a very large, spacious backyard that sits on Noisette Creek. We are starting to throw events on the back of our property, and the first one is on February 22nd, 2020 from 1-5pm. We are throwing an oyster roast, and we do apologize since our last press release because some of the information has changed since we last reached out to you.

Bowens Island will be providing the oysters for the event, as we have collaborated in the past. Live music will be performed by Stephen Jenkins and Friends from 1:30-4:30pm. We will host the roast in our yard on picnic tables, and anyone who purchases a wristband is more than welcome to take place in the feast that day.

Wristbands will cost $25, and that includes all-you-can-eat oysters. Other people who wish to visit the taproom can attend normally, as our kitchen will be serving food from our normal menu as well and our bar will be pouring offerings of our beer as well as full wine and liquor selections. All wristbands will be purchased day-of, and can be added to guests’ bar tabs, as simple as that. All someone has to do to get a wristband is chat with a bartender. Advanced tickets purchased by people online will be honored day-of, if anyone who bought a ticket before is worried about getting it redeemed.

Parking is on-site, as we have a large lot. Overflow can park up and down Aragon Avenue in the appropriate spaces.

This is the first event in a series of concerts, markets and other soirees that we will host in our backyard marshside. We’ve got a ton of land out behind our brewhouse, and with such a beautiful backdrop, we’d hate for any opportunities to go to waste. HCB will be in touch to give you the heads-up about future events that we have planned for this series, including one on St. Patrick’s Day with Cowboy Mouth.

We’re happy to start using our new spot to its fullest potential, and thank you in advance for any coverage you can give us. Further inquiries can be directed towards [email protected].

ABOUT HOLY CITY BREWING

In 2011, Joel Carl, Sean Nemitz and Chris Brown partnered with Mac Minaudo to form Holy City Brewing. The Charleston craft beer scene was only a fledgling venture, and they saw this as an opportunity to bring their passion to the open market. The brewery now makes 6,000 barrels of beer per year, and has brewed over 100 different styles and varieties. Holy City Brewing enjoys working with the community, and continuing to make Charleston and its surrounding areas a better place to live. Cheers!
