Upcoming Upland Brewing Beer Releases

Upcoming Upland Brewing Beer Releases

Upland Brewing Co. in Bloomington, Indiana made multiple announcements regarding upcoming beer releases this week, starting with the triumphant return of Preservation Pilsner, which has been retired since 2012.

Also on the horizon is the brewery's third release in the Side Trail Series named Little Wheat Lies, a juicy White IPA.

Lastly, Upland Sour Ales is proud to announce a Flanders Red Ale brewed with Catawba grapes called Oak & Red.

The full release from Upland regarding all three beers is below.

Preservation Pilsner returns in time for anniversary parties

Having been retired in 2012, this fan favorite is returning in time to celebrate our 20th anniversary this summer. Preservation Pilsner is a beer with a cause. We're partnering with Indiana Landmarks to bring awareness to the 10 most endangered Indiana landmarks. Upland locations will host a series of pint nights to benefit this organization.

Preservation Pilsner is a light-bodied German pilsner that's clean, crisp and refreshing. A blend of German noble hops lays a base of floral, herbal character, with late additions of Hallertau Blanc hops adding notes of lemongrass and white grape. Available in 15 pks, 12 oz cans.

Freshly canned: Little White Lies

We canned Little Wheat Lies this month, our 3rd installment in the Side Trail Series.  For this Juicy White IPA, coriander is added to the whirlpool in a similar method as is used in Upland Wheat. After fermentation, the beer is recirculated through orange zest for the freshest orange flavor and aroma possible.  Most of the hops were reserved for after the boil to minimize bitterness and amplify flavor and aroma. Grab a four pack from Upland retail locations or your local bottle shop today!

Oak & Red debuts as next in Oliver Winery series

Our partnership with Oliver Winery continues with the release of Oak & Red, a select blend of our base blonde and Crimson, a Flanders-style red ale, aged on a high concentration of Catawba grapes. The beer pours a luscious copper color with red highlights. Nuanced grape aromas permeate, with hints of charred oak and petite sourness. Enjoy full red-grape flavors balanced by the tartness and complexity of the base beer. Finish is mildly sweet, with lingering Catawba juiciness. Join us on June, 29th at Upland retail locations for a glass or bottle and keep an eye out for this release at your local bottle shop this summer!
