Short's Brewing Co. in Bellaire, Michigan has announced a new date for its 16th Anniversary celebration, which was slated for April 25th but has now been moved to October 17th due to the ongoing threat of the coronavirus. Full details from the brewery are below.
Bellaire, Mich. – Short’s Brewing Company, northern Michigan’s largest brewery, is turning 16 years old this year. Starting with their 10th Anniversary Party, the brewery has hosted an outdoor street party for the last 6 years.
Originally scheduled for April 25th, due to the spread of COVID-19, Short’s has decided to re-schedule for October 17th. “We want nothing more than to party with you in large groups less than six feet apart. We are moving the date to when we hope this is feasible again,” said Scott Newman-Bale CEO of Short’s Brewing Co.
The 16th Anniversary party will bring over an estimated 3,000 people to Bellaire, shutting down the streets of downtown. The party offers attendees 35 unique beers and ciders on tap, food from local food trucks and their very own brewpub, as well as live music throughout the day.
To continue the brewery’s efforts in keeping Bellaire prosperous and beautiful, Short’s will donate proceeds from the party to the Village of Bellaire Downtown Development Authority. The brewery’s neighbors will also be open for business during the celebration so party goers can check out everything that Bellaire has to offer.
Due to the date change, a number of tickets have become available to the formerly sold out Pre-Party. To purchase Pre-Party or general admission tickets, or find more event information, please visit shortsbrewing.com/anniparty.
