Virginia Eagle Distributing Company (VED) is pleased to announce that a formal distribution agreement has been signed with Heavy Seas Beer (Heavy Seas).  The distribution area will include the markets of Northern Virginia, as well as the Fredericksburg area.

“Heavy Seas is very happy to be partnering with Virginia Eagle,” says Hugh Sisson, Founder of Heavy Seas Beer.  “This Northern Virginia area is extremely important to us and we believe that Virginia Eagle’s structure and dedication to the craft beer business will help expand our brand.”

Known for their motto “To sail to new brewing horizons, guided by the winds of tradition, and driven by the quest for adventure,” Heavy Seas was born near the harbor of Baltimore and raised in the spirit of exploration. Heavy Seas has been independently brewed since 1995.  They strive to craft brews that capture your sense of adventure.  Their flagship beer (Loose Cannon IPA) is rated 96 on Beer Advocate and Beer Connoisseur Magazine named them Brewery of the Year in 2017.

“Pursuing this partnership has been a personal labor of love for me,” states Scott Heinz, COO of Virginia Eagle Distributing.  “We (VED) have worked hard to build a portfolio of craft beer supplier partners that truly are a cut above.  Adding Heavy Seas will make us better.”
