Entries Now Open for 2024 International Brewing & Cider Awards

Exciting news for brewers and cidermakers worldwide! As of October 1, 2023, entries are officially open for the prestigious 2024 International Brewing & Cider Awards. This event, steeped in history since its founding in 1886, beckons artisans from every corner of the globe to submit their finest brews and ciders for evaluation in one of the industry's most revered international competitions.

The International Brewing & Cider Awards offer a unique opportunity for participants to have their creations assessed by a panel of experienced brewers and cidermakers, gaining recognition on a global scale and showcasing their products as exemplars of their respective styles.

In a first for the event's 137-year history, the 2024 Awards, scheduled for March 2024 at Depot Mayfield, Manchester, will be accompanied by the inaugural International Brewing & Cider Festival. This festival will provide an exceptional platform for brewers and cidermakers to exhibit their offerings and connect with thousands of enthusiasts.

With a rich legacy, this global celebration of brewing and cider excellence draws submissions from around the world. The 2021 Awards saw participation from renowned brewing nations such as Australia, China, Japan, Luxembourg, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, the USA, and the UK.

Entrants have the opportunity to submit their products across nine beer categories, totaling 36 classes, and three cider categories, spanning 15 classes. The classes are categorized based on alcoholic strength, ensuring every beer and cider finds its rightful place. Innovative variations on traditional styles, including Sour Beer, Special Hop, and Spanish Style Cider, also have their designated categories.

The deadline for submissions to the International Brewing & Cider Awards is February 1, 2024. The judging process is slated for March 19-21, 2024, with medal winners set to be announced on March 22, 2024, followed by the exhilarating two-day International Brewing & Cider Festival.
