It’s a great whiskey; powerful yet balanced.

While all of the whiskeys noted above are fantastic to serve neat, they also serve as the perfect main ingredient in one of my favorite whiskey-based cocktails: The Boulevardier. It’s basically a whiskey negroni: made with bourbon or rye, Campari, sweet vermouth and an orange twist for garnish. It’s also quite an easy cocktail to make ahead of time in a larger batch, which I recommend doing if you are prepping to host a Father’s Day get-together.

Additionally, whiskey’s caramel undertones and notes of toffee naturally pair perfectly with chocolate.
