Mendocino Brewing Co. in Ukiah, California has ceased production at the brewery and laid off its entire sales force just weeks after shuttering its taproom, according to a release from the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.
This is some sad news from a storied brewery with 35 years of craft brewing in the north California area. Famed for its avian-themed beers liks Eye of the Hawk strong ale and White Tail White IPA, the brewery was the first to open a brewpub in California in 1983.
