Drake's Brewing Co.'s Kickback Session IPA Returns

SAN LEANDRO, CA | (June 2, 2017) — After a huge kick off in 2016, Drake’s Brewing Co. is again releasing Kick Back, a golden, hoppy Session IPA. A portion of the proceeds will support East Bay Regional Parks through Drake’s community fundraising program. Last year, Drake’s exceeded its goal and raised over $10,000 to support trail cleanup and restoration at the East Bay parks and the brewery has its sights set on beating that goal in 2017.

Inspired by the brewers’ love for low-ABV, high flavor beers, Kick Back IPA has the crispness of a lager, with the hoppiness of an IPA. At 4.3% ABV, it’s an easy-going session beer with lush, tropical fruit aromatics coming from the Mosaic, Simcoe, El Dorado hops. Notes of tangerine, peach, and guava pair amazingly with Gouda or Manchego cheese, a spicy pork banh mi or mixed greens topped with seared ahi tuna and a tart vinaigrette.

Kick Back makes its debut at the brewery's monthly First Friday party on June 2 and will be available in six packs and on draft through September at Drake’s Barrel House in San Leandro, Drake’s Dealership in Oakland, as well as distributed throughout California.

Fans will be able to sample Kick Back at summer events around Northern California including East Bay Regional Park District’s Concerts at the Cove on June 9, July 14 and Aug. 11 at the Crab Cove Visitor Center in Alameda.

Once more, proceeds from the sale of every six-pack and pint of Kick Back IPA will be donated to trail clean up and restoration at East Bay Regional Parks, a system of 65 parks and more than 1,250 miles of trails, including 40 miles of shoreline, in Alameda and Contra Costa counties.
