Cape May Brewing Celebrates 7th Anniversary with Two New Brews

Cape May Brewing Co. in Cape May, New Jersey is happy to celebrate its seventh anniversary on June 29.

“It’s hard to believe that we’ve been at this for seven years,” says CEO and co-founder Ryan Krill in a release from Cape May. “I remember when we began, brewing up a 12-gallon batch of IPA, and hoping that someone gets lost enough in the airport to stumble into our unit."

Multiple new brews will make their debut at the 7th anniversary party, including Anniversary Ale 7.0, a blend of 7 different hops.

The full release from Cape May is below.

Cape May, NJ -- Cape May Brewing Company is celebrating seven years of stellar beers at the Jersey Shore with two anniversary parties on June 29th. One at their Tasting Room at 1288 Hornet Road in the Cape May Airport, and the other at their very first account: Cabanas Beach Bar and Grill at 429 Beach Ave in downtown Cape May.

“It’s hard to believe that we’ve been at this for seven years,” says CEO and co-founder Ryan Krill. “I remember when we began, brewing up a 12-gallon batch of IPA, and hoping that someone gets lost enough in the airport to stumble into our unit.

“The support we’ve seen since then is nothing short of humbling.”

On Friday, June 29th, beginning at 11am, the party begins at their Tasting Room. There will be three special one-offs to choose from, two can releases, and there will be fun and games of all kinds.

The three co-founders -- Ryan Krill, Chris Henke, and Bob “Mop Man” Krill -- have each devised a one-off for the event. Ryan Krill concocted an orange crush-inspired brew: Summer Catch, CMBC’s crushable summer wheat beer, with Oranges. Henke devised Pickle Corrosion, their sour IPA, and Bob Krill designed The Bog Cranberry Shandy infused with lime zest.

In addition, the party will feature a new twist on an old favorite -- The Bog Cranberry Shandy Slushies. Revelers will be able to beat the heat in CMBC’s Beer Garden while sipping on one of their most popular brews in a refreshing and stimulating new way.

Guests at the party will be able to get a sneak peek of Cape May’s newest Double IPA before it goes out for distribution. Brewed with 5.5 pounds of hops per barrel, Bounding Main has a soft and pillowy mouthfeel, a gentle bitterness, and aromas of tropical fruits: mango, guava, citrus — all with a hint of dank in the background. Like many a stormy wind, Bounding Main will blow you away.

Also, Cape May will be debuting Anniversary Ale 7.0. A blend of seven hops come together at a rate of seven pounds-per-barrel to create a beautiful hop nirvana, blasting you in the face with a tidal wave of tropical and citrusy aromas. Layered throughout this celebratory feast of sexy hops, Anniversary Ale 7.0 is dripping with notes of passionfruit, guava, and mangoes.

In addition, representatives from Cape May’s BikeMS: City to Shore team will be on hand. For each of the past seven years, Cape May Brewing Co. has sponsored a team for this bike race throughout South Jersey, raising nearly $100,000 for Multiple Sclerosis research. The team will be on hand to raise money, and revelers will get the chance to sign up for the team at 15% off the usual rate. And, beginning at 6pm, visitors will have the chance to Beat the Brew Crew in a basketball tournament -- only $5 to enter, and all of the proceeds go to support the City to Shore team.

At Cabanas Beach Bar and Grill, partiers will be able to sip seven beers for each of Cape May’s seven years, including Cape May IPA. Cabanas was the first bar to take a chance on Cape May’s flagship IPA, and it’s been a mainstay of their tap list since.

Furthermore, there’ll be giveaways, chances to win CMBC merchandise, and a piñata filled with all kinds of CMBC swag.

Then, at 9pm, there’ll be music by 3AM Tokyo. The brainchild of GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter/producer Picasso, 3AM Tokyo is comprised of four standout musicians creating a powerful mix of pop, rock, hip-hop, EDM, and reggae, capable of creating in any genre, decade, or style. Known for their take on popular songs and remixes with a DJ feel, the sounds and dynamics of 3AM Tokyo are flawless, firmly establishing the group as leaders in the modern dance world.
