Boneyard Beer Founder & Brewmaster Tony Lawrence Talks Incredible Pulp Blood Orange Extra Pale Ale
We spoke with Boneyard Beer Founder & Brewmaster Tony Lawrence about Incredible Pulp Blood Orange Extra Pale Ale.
BC: Who came up with this beer’s recipe?
Tony Lawrence came up with the receipt but the whole team helped dial Incredible Pulp in to where it is today. We are still making little adjustments batch to batch.

BC: What’s your favorite aspect of this beer (flavor, aroma, etc.)?
The Blood Orange additions and the secondary fermentation aspects mixed with citrus hops = Tasty.

BC: Where does this beer’s name come from?
The team narrowed it down to this. We just like to have fun!

BC: Is this your “desert island beer?”
Blood Orange with Vitamin C all mixed into a tasty adult beverage. Yes, this is my Dessert Island beer.

BC: Can you describe this beer in 10 words or less?
Beer Mimosa with Hops.

BC: Do you know a story – or have a personal story – that revolves around this beer?
We did a collaboration brew with Beavertown Brewery in London called Bloody Notorious. It was a collision of Beavertown's flagship Bloody 'Ell and Boneyard's Notorious Triple IPA. Soon after that collaboration, we started playing around with Blood Orange and hops back in Bend. We did barley and fruit fermentation's of course but typically in wheat beer or something other than an IPA.

BC: What's a good food pairing for this beer?
I'm not good at the pairing topics, just drink and enjoy.
