Blonde Fatale – Peace Tree Brewing – 94 Rating

BC: Who came up with this beer’s recipe?
Joe Kesteloot, Head Brewer

BC: What’s your favorite aspect of this beer (flavor, aroma, etc.)?
It is a very approachable craft beer for any level of beer drinker.

BC: Where does this beer’s name come from?
One of our bartenders named it because it was so easy to drink at 8.5% ABV.

BC: Is this your “desert island beer?”
Yeah, it could easily be my desert island beer.

BC: Can you describe this beer in 10 words or less?
A beautiful Belgian style bouquet of esters and Golden hue.

BC: Do you know a story – or have a personal story – that revolves around this beer?
When Peace Tree Brewery started in 2009, we could only brew up to 6.25% ABV. When the law in Iowa changed, this was the first higher ABV beer I brewed. It was Spring and I wanted a pale easy drinking higher alcohol beer for the season. Whenever someone finds out that I work for Peace Tree, they tell me about an experience they had drinking Blonde Fatale. It is our most popular selling beer.

BC: What's a good food pairing for this beer?
Broiled herb-crusted salmon.
