BC: What’s your favorite aspect of this beer (flavor, aroma, etc.)?
My favorite aspect of this beer is that we are showcasing an often-forgotten hop varietal in Crystal. The hop aroma contributed by this hop is definitely more subtle and less assertive and pungent, unlike most newer varieties.
BC: Where does this beer’s name come from?
The name comes from the heavy usage of the Crystal hop varietal. It is also part of our "Hero Series," which is a line of different IPAs that feature unique hops.
BC: Is this your “desert island beer?”
Quite honestly, if I was on a desert island I would rather have a Pina Colada, but a nice cold Pilsner would be rather nice as well!
BC: Can you describe this beer in 10 words or less?
A balanced IPA with floral/citrus flavors and aromas.
BC: Do you know a story – or have a personal story – that revolves around this beer?
I love using the Crystal hop in a day and age when everyone is trying to get the next new "it" hop. Certain hop varietals are classics for a reason!
BC: What's a good food pairing for this beer?
I think this would be a great beer to pair with a bacon cheeseburger and fresh-cut french fries.
